Dynamic Light still Life

For homework:

Continue refining the thumbnail.

1. Remove all traces of line and work in lit value (or color, if you are ready for it)

2. Create a detailed overhead diagram to plot your space.

3. Stay in low-res

We can experiment with borrowing the lighting and color palette of a photo to color our thumbnail.

For homework, work on your project thumbnail and add value. Bring grayscale value  thumbnail next week.

For homework, so this exercise at home, and add some light sources of your choice.

week face reference

For homework:
Find a photo of a face. Paint the face as it appears. Do as much as possible without using the eyedropper.
Then using a mirror,  use your own face as a reference first to mimic the expression from the photo, and then to alter it.

For homework, do a still life painting with 2 light sources... preferably two lamps of different types.

1. Any kind of material is OK
2. Limit to 3 hours.
